Applesauce Loaf

My kids love this applesauce loaf bread. It is yummy, not to sweet, and is a great way to use up all that applesauce you've got in the cupboard from canning season.

2 cup whole wheat pastry flour or all purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp ground clove

1 Tbl baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

2 cups applesauce

1/2 cup milk

1/3 cup butter softened

2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350, and grease a 9x5 loafpan. Conbine one cup of flour, sugars, cinnamon, ' nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in mixing bowl. Add applesauce, milk, butter and eggs and beat on low until blended, add remaining flour and beat until well mixed. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 65-70 minutes, or until a fork poked in center of loaf comes out clean.

I sprinkled about 1/4 of a cup of chopped pecans on the top before baking, yummmm
