Coffee Filter Butterflies

Today the kids made coffee filter butterflies to decorate the dining room with. It was easy and alot of fun. We taped them to our big dining room window to decorate for the new season.

You'll need coffee filters, watercolor paints, and pipe cleaners. First paint the coffee filters any way you'd like. We did a few with alot of paint and some with just dots of paint.

Let the paint dry and then scrunch the filters up in the middle to form wings.
You could even use 2 filters if you want fuller wings, but we just went for one.

Secure with a pipe cleaner, and curl  the long ends for antenna

.
Tape em up, hang em from a string.
