Sometimes we just NEED Chocolate Chip Cookies


1 cup butter
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
2 cups packed light brown sugar
4 eggs
2t. vanilla

Cream the butter, shortening, and sugars together until light and fluffy, add eggs one at a time, add vanilla set aside.

Combine:
4 1/2 cups flour
2t. baking soda
2t salt

Mix together the wet and dry ingredients. PLEASE, do not overmix the dough or you will have tough dry cookies in the end.

Fold in 2 cups of chocolate chips.

drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto parchment lined cookie sheets and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Let cookies cool on pan for 1 minute before removing to wire rack to finish cooling.

Pour a tall glass of ice cold milk and enjoy!
